Once again Drs. Love and Miller will be offering our annual “Summer Sealant Frenzy,” where we discount all sealants by 10% for the months of June, July, and August! 

We will also continue to offer our fantastic guarantee policy with our sealants.  As long as you remain a regular patient at Drs. Love and Miller and allow us to see you twice a year, we will maintain your sealants indefinitely by adding to them when they get too thin or replacing them if needed – all at no additional cost to you!
 

BPA and Sealants: Addressing Possible Concerns

You may have heard recent reports about Bisphenol A (BPA) and its presence in sealants.  Drs. Love and Miller agree with the ADA and its Council on Scientific Affairs, which states “According to the CDC, dental caries remains the most common chronic disease of children aged 5 to 17 years – 5 times more common than asthma (59% versus 11%).

Untreated cavities can cause pain, dysfunction, absence from school, and poor appearance problems that can greatly affect a child’s quality of life.  The utility of composite resin materials for both restoring dental health and preventing caries is well established, while any health risks from their use are not. 

The ADA fully supports continued research into the safety of BPA; but based on current evidence, the ADA does not believe there is a basis for health concerns relative to BPA exposure from any dental material.”
